Dear Reader,
Words cannot express my gratitude as a social worker, for the support received from Hattie’s House. Working with stem cell transplant patients, we are faced with life and death treatment in addition to many social challenges. Andy and Hattie’s House have provided much needed comfort and support without stipulation for so many of my patients. Hattie’sHouse provides a safe haven and a home away from home. My patients receive peace and comfort knowing they have a place to stay while they receive their transplant and daily treatments.
In a world of limited resources, Hattie’s House has provided support for patients regardless of their income, which is truly unique, as we know cancer knows no financial boundaries. I cannot fully described how profoundly Hattie’s House has impacted the lives of my patients. I cannot describe how deeply the mission, service and compassion from Andy Albrecht and Hattie’s House has impacted me – personally and professionally. Andy, through Hattie’s House, serves our community in immeasurable ways and I can only hope to see them grow into what becomes a large resource for our patients in what is arguably their most desperate time of need.
Providing support to Hattie’s House or working with Hattie’s House only serve to improve your patients’ quality of life, decrease social barriers to treatment, and serves our society with tremendous compassion while allowing patients to maintain dignity and have some sense of comfort.
Please feel free to contact us about my experiences working with Andy and Hattie’s House.
Warmly,
